About SOP
SOP was founded by two Army Veterans who love God and who loved to ride motorcycles who wanted to do more to serve others. We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization.
Mission
To inspire our members to be an organized, equipped, and financially stable organization that presents the Gospel to the motorcycle community who may never enter the doors of a traditional church
Vision
To minister Jesus Christ to the world
Vision objectives:
1. Evangelistic outreach primarily, but not exclusively, to the motorcycling community
2. Equipping our members in ministry training that aligns itself with Biblical truths
3. A servant’s attitude to the world and our members (i.e. Here if you need us)
Who we are
The Sons of Peter (SOP) Motorcycle Ministry is a motorcycle “ministry”, not a riding club, or a motorcycle club. When and wherever we ride, we wear our large back patch or “colors” emblazoned with not only “Sons of Peter”, but also “Acts 2:38”. This outward evidence of our “Christianity” frequently generates questions, thereby opening doors for witnessing opportunities. For this reason, Sons of Peter need to be faithful, supporting members of their local churches and submissive to their pastor.
